Kuro is a soul guide. He accompanies human souls on their way to the afterlife and shows them how they can free themselves from their soul burdens.
Kuro got his name from Hotaru because of his black clothes. Kuro is normally a secretive loner but with Hotaru by his side this image is difficult to maintain.
