Phainon is one of the Chrysos Heirs described as the nameless new king ascends the throne alongside countless heroes to embark on the grand mission of deliverance in the prophecy. His weapon of choice is a claymore. He originated from Aedes Elysiae a small village on Amphoreus that was according to him destroyed by the Flame Reaver. During his time undergoing the Trial of the Strife Coreflame Phainon was shown memories of this incident including a bloodred halfsun hung in the sky and the people lying in a sea of flames as well as the murder of his childhood friend Cyrene. In the end Phainon fails the Trial due to being blinded by hatred and almost losing himself. Later on while speaking with Anaxa he is given a piece of the Flame Reavers cloak from Anaxas encounter with him in the Grove of Epiphany where he confirms it is the same person who destroyed Aedes Elysiae. He vows to defeat him in order to protect Okhema and the FlameChase.
