Kyouko is a mysterious stoic and independent person who deliberately masks her feelings so that others wont be able to read her. Because of this she has a cold demeanor and appears to remain calm and collected in most situations. Despite this however she can sometimes let her emotions get the best of her when shes especially upset. Though aloof and slow to trust others Kyouko is adept at noticing things that the other students dont which proves vital once bodies start turning up. She often advises Makoto on conducting investigations.
