Tokugawa no Mashira
Set in the Edo period, a young swordswoman named Suzu travels to Edo seeking revenge for her father’s death. While staying at a roadside inn, she becomes caught up in a hostage-style terrorist incident carried out by a mysterious armed group calling themselves the “Tengu.”
She is rescued by “Mashira,” an all-female anti-Tengu unit. Among them is Tsuki, a warrior who cannot see, hear, or speak, yet overwhelms the Tengu with her extraordinary physical combat skills.
This is a hard-edged, unconventional period action story depicting the fierce clash between the eccentric warriors of Mashira and the Tengu.
