Im all for more shoujo and josei anime. Theyre my favorite after all especially ones that are a fantasy romance. So I really do want to like this anime. And its not as if I hate it or anything. I feel like Id enjoy it if it werent for these romantic interests. So Ill start off my review with them. Characters Nina: Shes cute I like her character design a lot. Its one of the more unique ones Ive seen in shoujo/josei anime. However her personality doesnt stand out. Shes pretty much a Mary Sue who for the most part acts like a child. Along with this I watched the dub and in the dub she sounds exactly like a whiny child. She has her good moments I dont dislike her or anything. But shes not a character I found myself really liking. 220https://i.pin.com/736x/52/99/52/529952606527382cf299247ab61166e4.jpg Azure: I dont dislike him hes just boring and kind of reminds me of a turtle. Hes not a prince charming or a fantastic love interest but hes better than the other guy Im about to go on about. Sett: Oh my gosh. This guy ruined the anime for me. He seems to be the main love interest and oh my godh do I hate him. He treats Nina horribly. He literally hurts Nina. Not very romantic to me. He has the personality of an AI Angry Boyfriend pretty terrible. Gosh I hope Nina doesnt end up with this guy. Story The story is pretty decent. Nothing really stood out to me but I liked it pretty well. Since this is a romance a lot of the anime does focus on the romance and as you can tell by now I was not a fan of the romance. However when the story isnt focusing on the romance and goes into the more mysterious aspects I like it pretty well. Animation and Music The animation was pretty good. Usually animation in shoujos and joseis isnt great but this was pretty good Not outstanding or anything but good I especially liked the moments where it zoomed in on her eyes. My Final Thoughts Definetly not the worst shoujo/josei Ive watched but not the best. I feel like this had potential but the characters kind of ruined that. I still enjoyed some of the anime but by the end of it it was a pretty eh sort of watch. Id only recommend watching this if you want to watch a dubbed josei fantasy romance and youre a fan of the genre.
