Shonen masterpiece. The film is one of the peaks of the shonen genre and anime in general too.
Often bashed for being a basic and simple anime but when you excel this much at the basics and take it to such a level should it not be praised rather than memed? So many series try to do more than they should by attempting to be complex and Deep but it causes them to fall off by the badly executed attempt at being more than basic and simpleI wont name names. Why is taking simple story components and excelling at conveying/using them cause for scorn? It should be praised how this story takes Basic and still blows you away with the emotions.
The already renowned animation/visuals from ufotable reached eyegasmic levels. It was an animated spectacle on every way could not look away. Part of me did not believe it was going to be that much better than what we already had but the films even more beautiful than everything before it.
The raw emotions and intertwining storylines were also incredible. The show is often written off as just peak animation but this film really showcased how good the series is at having impactful emotional beats. The fleshing out of its villains without falling for the They did horrible things but you should forgive them is severely underrated. The demons are tragic but it doesnt erase their sins.
Musical score was some of the best already in anime but reached a new level with this film it exponentially leveled up every emotional and hyped scene. Definitely going on my Playlist.
The voice acting really aided with that too the performances from the Voice actors was treat to listen too Every breath every word every exclamation was really felt watching this. So many emotional scenes could not have felt as profound without these talented professionals. The performances that stood out were: Akaza Giyuu Zenitsu and of course Tanjiro.
Oh yeah runtime was class 2hrs 35 minutes let it breath and expand on the story a lot. So much content it feeling like too much. It is also nice to finally have an anime film with a long runtime.
The fights just incredible in everyday the films brings animation soundtrack and cinematography to form an enthralling series of battles. The fights flow from one to another perfectly well it does not feel abrupt at all. You also get time to breath between each so it does not feel like an unimpactful barrage of fights. Each one is given its proper emotional value and stakes
Finally Zenitsu is him Backed him despite all the slander but this film really showcases how much of good character he is.
Must watch in cinema especially Imax or Dolby
