This is a review I would like to dedicate my time over of how much I love yuri content especially when the main character eventually gets more than one girl a yuri and harem trope is coming to feast our eyes and mind that only profuses our adoration between the two girls of the anime series. Yuri anime is honestly the best subgenre in romance you can always count on. Two girls holding hands one girl confessing to the other and sharp intimate kissing scenes that would make a yuri enthusiast or a lesbian lean their torso forward. Theres No Freaking Way Ill be Your Lover Unless... is an anime that makes pleasurable and measurable experiences both delightful and frustrating to watch. For Those Who Are Planning to Watch the Anime If youre an avid anime watcher who has heard of the many yuri romcom anime this year like Whisper Me a Love Song or even Citrus. As a matter of fact there is tons of yuri content out there that suits your taste. But this yuri anime in particular is the one that always marks their word and that anime which you may heard is called Theres No Freaking Way Ill be Your Lover Unless... or WataNare for short. Its the piece of the puzzle that strongly goes handinhand with other yuri content out there. Some anime I was going to compare are The 100 Girlfriends Who Really Really Really REALLY Love You and Girlfriend Girlfriend but the main character is a male protagonist. The one thing I realized when I added these Male MC harem anime is that WataNare is a yuri harem anime and I dont even know why I made that comparison probably only to feature my favorite genre which is romance. What can I say? Yuri is fundamentally one of the best subgenres a person like me could ask for. It is the sole reason my love for yuri is strong after all Dont mind me rambling about yuri or other yuri takes I had in mind and I might even ramble about other anime if I forget the main one they are not the central point of this review. This review is heavily focused on the slowburn love between two high school best friends in air quotes. When I quoted the best friends part the anime or I guess the source material debuts a rather interesting challenge provided by one of the main characters that the consumer of this yuri anime has to face. And what do I mean by that? Well watch it and find out Im not forcing you to watch the anime and I dont have to force you because this is an anime that really drives your newly created romcom proclivities. Its a fun watch trust me. And I take this from the bottom of my heart. If you are currently watching it and enjoy it thats great But there might be some you who noticed the downsides that played out in the yuri anime includes SPOILERS obvs This is an anime that follows the source material but ends up rushing the volumes and omitting the smaller moments that often give this yuri romance a chance of heart. Nonetheless it does serve the kind of sweet chemistry yuri fans could love. I want the anime to display the kind of unrequited and shared love you get between two female characters and I hope the writers of the adaptation resolve this. You will get enough ecstasy because the anime is plentiful with loveydovey and wholesome moments but its not the same if each scene and dialogue gets immediately changed to the next scene and dialogue. So watch it with my full recommendation I promised you wont feel disarray with the shows pacing. First Impression of the First Episode Yuri anime really does appeal to a unique audience due to the bright nature these main girl characters are establishing. I for one enjoyed the first episode because it starts off with a powerful love confession that I am willing to put stakes on the line to receive these words vibrating in my ears. Thats how stoked I am for this anime. But talking about the first episode before reading the manga or source material light novel I presume this all started from one idea is what I am thinking that continued the hype train for this manga I feel like should be adapted to an animation and Im glad it did. Its like one of those anime that I personally enjoy watching that is emotionallydriven somehow to me to say the least. Character Analysis Amaori Renako https://anilist.co/character/196166/renakoamaoriis a shy and somewhat reticent high school girl who believes shes unable to handle group conversations but is able to talk in oneonone exchanges. Shes been trying to develop her somewhat interpersonal skills to really get ahead of herself in her high school life but later on things will start to unravel as her new thoughttobe best friend fawns over as Renako becomes her freaking lover. Shes a very interesting main character who knows nothing about love but as she develops herself per episode its what makes her character purely innocent. However her diffidence meaning shyness and lack of selfconfidence could make her relationships feel hard to manage and reciprocate. Yet she somehow can sustain a halflove and halffriendship relationship that really resonates with anyone who has experienced pure unguarded affection. Mai Ouzukahttps://anilist.co/character/196167/MaiOuzuka on the other hand is the very picture of elegance majestic refined and almost regal who surely is a voluptuous woman as seen through Renakos eyes. Shes the archetype of a gracious upperclass heroine but her puppy love for Renako starts to intensify after each episode. We can note that shes really starving for some kind of affectionobsessed weirdo that ties down for Renako to handle. And honestly I cant believe that a girl like Mai Ouzuka could be on the same path with Renako Amaori This is what impresses most yuri fans is that even introverts can get a taste of the yuri action. Its just that the anime is just literally us if youre with me folks inserting ourselves as a socially awkward high school anime girl that we could potentially have ourselves a female spouse we can date and have a relationship but that could literally just be me wanting a girlfriend and if youre single like me join the club So talking about the first episode In the first episode it proves that modern everyday conversation and even in large groups can be tedious for an introvert to handle. I am not sure if thats the case for introverts out there globally IRL but because of this Renako blurted out words she heard in their conversation in order to fit in with her classmate friends and since we know for sure that Renako is struggling to find her rhythm or find that something that could help her high school life fall into place. It can surely make a good plotline and discover what infuses a good relationship between two anime girls. The Setting Does Stick to Households and Schools? Actually its something I realized and pointed out after reading the manga As more episodes get aired by the time Im writing this review on Episode 4 and Renakos relationships with her friends begins to bloom I might not be certain because I havent read more chapters or waited for the episodes to air but wouldnt each episode just be about Renakos room or her house for the most part of the series. I too am hesitant to ask this question because Im going to read the manga. Month I am currently writing this review for: 08/24 And I read as far as I can go somewhere on Volume 7 This manga or the anime after it airs the episodes has this specific theme that is always popping up in the franchise. And if you can tell what Im talking about send me a message on my profile if you have figured it all out I actually thought it was going to be about the households and schools but man I didnt actually think this GL was like that. And of course its a GL so I dont need to pander much about it. Anyways that was a load of yap lets talk about the next section of this review What Emotions Did the Anime Convey? The anime in its entirety is filled with love and affectionate moments and gives off a bittersweet but truthful undertone that promises a fate between two girls. And personally the emotions that brought up for this anime was pure excitement for me and we really get to see all of the yuri magic gratified across all yuri nations. And Im yapping about nonsense again. My Rating When it Comes to This Yuri Anime I highly recommend this anime to those who very much loves yuri anime or yuri content in general as much as I do. It really drives your romcom proclivities even when youre sure theyre about to kiss. To point out some kissing scenes my favorite one is at the But Im just giving out a spoiler just for the sake that kissing between two girls is going to be a spectacular moment for this animes success. How I Would Recommend this Anime to New Gens of the Yuri Franchise If new gens ever come across this anime they must know what they are getting themselves into. And Im not exactly sure how I would recommend this anime to anyone without having them manifest any weird ideas so I wont bother asking questions like this because Im silly and need some.. Uh BL Yaoi? Why Nfot? 0/ Why Should The Anime Industry Make More Yuri Anime? My Take There wasnt any yuri anime that was being produced this year at least to my knowledge. But when WataNare came out there was some high regard with my obsession with yuri content that it made me want to propose not in a nuptial way but something I want to hold dear with. Because yuri content is powerful either good or bad however it may fit your standards. Its the kind of anime that guarantees its magic in the hopeless ends of girl love. I dont know what Im tyapping typingyapping about. Anime like this is magical and Im glad I joined the ride with you all. Thats WataNare all right. If they ever consider making a Season 2 count me in girlies. Anyways Im gonna end this anime review right here.
