Alienating rugby. To understand the essence of rugby you need to delve into the process of sweaty guys hugging. I recommend watching American rugby its tough. In my school years I realized a clear classification of rugby for pumpedup brutals and American football for sissies. Although the rules are similar the dynamics of the game are different. Those interested should look and compare. Rugby originated in England and Europeans from some countries as well as Australians play it and even win cups. However it is still necessary to focus on the U.S. because Japan brought this sport from the American mainland not the European island. Judging by the anime imitation is in full swing but its hard for me to imagine small Japanese people trying to knock down a runner with the ball and flying three meters backwards breaking bones during the game. For some reason the lead role was chosen to be a kid shorter than the average teenager and slightly older than the other players. What guided the author? Not his flaws in life but his desire to realize a dream through one small hero who could. Indeed he did as did most of the characters in this anime. Im fine with that and I realize that this genre often comes out neutered sometimes on one egg and sometimes on both. Classic anime usually lacks romance an adequate plot friendly nontoxic relationships abundant tournaments realistic gameplay a welldeveloped script and interesting characters. Drawnout game: Lets start with the positive qualities of the title. First the art quality is rather beautiful with a colorful and lightened background in the tournaments that does not spoil the animation. The quality of the art is something that will keep you watching. The first twelve episodes or so were good with grueling training sessions and a couple of tournament games. Everything was spectacular and the introduction to the characters was smooth and interesting. The key characters are memorable both on and off the field. Now lets move on to the negative aspects. After episodes 1213 the series becomes boring and sad. Although the games are going on they are not so many and some are sluggish and boring. Only the last game on the classic was able to wake me up and make me shout Finally 25 episodes Oh yeah a lot of spokons problem is prolongation. Twelve episodes are okay. But for 25 episodes you need a good plot which was never there. Instead it was everyday life with monotonous dialogue overcoming and screams which is what happened in this anime. The supporting characters are forgotten they are not revealed at all. Bottom line: As much as the Japanese tried to emphasize the masculine nature of this sport and avoid showing its intensity and severity I didnt see any fractures or players being carried off on stretchers. After all rugby is an injuryprone sport and one match can end badly. Overall I did not expect anything else from Japanese rugby. I didnt see a welldeveloped script. The plan for season two is in place but it was never revealednot a great loss. Nevertheless spokon about Rugby is solidly mid and can be rated at 6+ for fans. The second half of the series was disappointing.
