This review will run through the story from beginning until end so it will contain spoilers for a lot of the content including the ending. Trigger warning: Sexual assault
The manga starts off with an interesting premise that couldve had a lot of potential having the main character Yashiro who really struggles around men unable to attend a girls only school. The reason for her fear is shown through a flashback reminiscing about her first love with a girl Mikoto who saved her while going through a traumatic experience. As with any cliched flashback Mikoto turns out to also be the new transfer student at her school. They get paired up so Yashiro can show them around the school. After an accidental kiss straight out of a harem anime it is revealed that Mikoto is actually a boy suffering from an absurd disease turning him into a girl that requires for him to be kissed daily by Yashiro in order to not fully become a girl.
After this moment the series gets worse and worse by the chapter. Yashiro is brought to a hospital where a perverted doctor explains Mikotos condition more in detail. His entire character serves as nothing but to make Yashiro and personally the reader uncomfortable. After Yashiro refuses to comply Mikoto chases after her and forces himself onto her. Instead of this being seen for what it is the series calls it a First Love Spell justifying it by saying he was her first love and downplaying the lack of consent.
The series attempts to have cute slice of life moments in spite of the blatant sexual assault present in every chapter. A side character Eris who initially wants to expose what is happening is introduced however she is also quickly swept up by Mikotos plans and just becomes used as fanservice for the audience.
Volume 2 continues the downwards spiral as Mikotos stepsister Maria is introduced. She is used to create tension between Mikoto and Yashiro. The series pretends to address how Yashiro is being used for a few pages but this changes nothing in the story and everything continues as if these pages did not exist. After the main duo run into Maria she starts tailing Yashiro around so that the author can include more fanservice of Eris and Yashiro kissing as friends do and having Maria be incredibly turned on by it of course.
In the final arc of the manga Yashiro is raped by Mikoto during one of their regular sessions of Mikoto forcing himself onto her and she runs away only for her and Eris to be kidnapped by Maria. All of this is an insane plot by Maria to aquire a harem of girls consisting of Eris Yashiro and Mikoto once his feminisation is complete. Maria forces herself onto Yashiro while explaining this plan. The author tries somehow to portray Mikoto in a heroic light as he tries to save himself from being transformed by kissing the kidnapped Yashiro but ultimately fails before the clock strikes midnight.
After his transformation Mikoto is used for more fanservice. The series attempts to redeem Mikoto by having him go through a fraction of the harassment Yashiro initially goes through of course all of this being caused by Mikotos newly developed large breasts. Mikoto runs away in shame after becoming unable to protect Yashiro from some of their male classmates.
Yashiro chases after him however she finds Mikoto almost being raped by a random man. She tries to save him but is hindered by her fear of men. After Mikoto strikes him in the back knocking him out he for some reason goes on a romantic speech about being unable to protect her now that he is a girl. They end up kissing and miraculously Mikoto returns to being a man and learns absolutely nothing.
The entire series changes nothing about the characters and is only a way for the author to depict a man that looks like a girl forcing himself onto innocent girls alongside adding much unnecessary fanservice and multiple scenes of sexual assault. I genuinely regret reading this manga and am disgusted by what I read. I urge any of you reading this to downvote the yuri tag on this series as it is a clear mislabel and upvote the correctly placed crossdressing tag.
