Warning for spoilers ahead I took a break from reading manhwa and manga for over a year now and I dont really know why but I decided to end that break today at 4am with this manhwa and I am glad I did I was hooked from the start and couldnt put my phone down. I think perhaps it is because I am in a long distance relationship and saw much similarities in the story to myself but the longing and desperation to see someone that feels so impossibly far away brought me so much heartache. I often find that manhwas tend to be quite cheesy or nonrealistic when it comes to dialogue and letters between characters that are falling in love but I thought it was perfectly done in Answer me My Prince. Every letter that was written felt heart warming and like I was witnessing a real conversation between new lovers. Watching the two slowly fall in love through words without knowing what either looked like felt so refreshing and so genuine. The manhwa accurately portrayed the many emotions that come with loving or wanting someone you cannot reach. We saw the desperation for wanting more the jealously of others being able to see their loved one in person the loneliness of waiting and anxiety of not knowing what may have happened when there is radio silence. I just related so much and I honestly almost cried on behalf of the main characters at times My only gripe and the reason my score for this manhwa is not higher would be the ending. Firstly in the last ten chapters or so the story became very convoluted and hard to follow more so due to the panelling and unclear portrayal of what was meant to be previous events and current events. I have reread the last few chapters several times now and I still cant entirely follow what has happened or how. It somewhat makes sense but it was incredibly frustrating and disappointing to have such a longing build up to what I anticipated to be a beautiful reunion to be ruined by a confusing read. Adding on to the reunion I just wish that we had even a little bit more insight into their reunion. There was not even a full chapter about their reunion which felt very anticlimatic considering this was the first and only instance of the current version of the main characters meeting each other. This is also just more my preference and I can understand why others might see this ending as fitting but with how much the characters talked throughout the manhwa about what they would want to do if they could meet it felt like a let down to see not even a glimpse of this. Overall I loved this manhwa a lot. It is so perfectly whimsical and romantic without unnecessary drama misunderstandings or filler to pad it out. This is the kind of romance stories I love and cherish where it is fully focused on the connections and interactions of the two main characters
