Now let me start of by saying Ive never left a review on anything before in my life except for some google maps reviews 10 years ago if pictures count and I use anime quite a lot as a shutoff brain mechanism that allows me to sit and stare into space and time while I consume this piece of media. I do enjoy watching it but I am not sure if it is for all the same reasons that everyone does. But this review is meant for exactly that I wanna see how much I was paying attention lol My first impression of this anime started here on Anilist believe it or not. One evening I was scrolling this amazing website and with boredom settling in I searched for a show that could reignite my endless appetite for new thrills. That was when I noticed a review by a fellow user that caught my attention. It was comparing this title to Spy X family which I quite liked and I immediately wanted to see it for myself. And honestly I was quite perplexed. At first this show starts of quite timid setting in the premise that Alma is a killing machine made to show off what those two scientists are capable of making. Not only that but it features an allencompassing A.I. that can hack into government property in a few seconds and make any change it desires. And now that they made it they will instead choose to keep it as their daughter and forge a makeshift family together. Basically even though they could delve deep into the story and start worldbuilding like hell the story doesnt take itself seriously at all and acts more like a Episodic TV Short. I dont really have a lot of complain about it was thoroughly enjoyable to watch but it kinda felt like they always kept losing the plot and some things never got explored / explained at all. The first few episodes still felt somewhat grounded in reality Im not trynna say that robots like that are supposed to be normal But we got to see how Enji and Suzume explored different scenarios that they supposedly never experienced before living together and the trials and tribulations people go through when they start caring for a kid. Alma herself seemed to have developed her personality quite a bit and we got to experience it first hand from the start which is a great plus. My issues with the show or I guess you could say nitpicking start with how the ball continued to roll as we continued watching. I kept pausing a lot thinking either this cant be real or that the author thought we just supposedly forgot already. For example Anyway Im literally just reading way to much into a soft and silly show that is not supposed to take itself seriously or its explained in the manga. But that was mostly my main gripes with it that it has quite a few visible plot holes and a style similar to Nichijouhttps://anilist.co/anime/10165/NichijouMyOrdinaryLife/. Overall a good watch if you are bored it will not scratch the Spy X Family itch if that is what you are looking for and may leave you a bit confused on the meaning of it all. The cute family doing cute family stuff genre is slowly growing and maybe there is hope that we will start to finally retire the isekai genre lol by god is it profitable tho
