This movie stands out as one of the absolute best Dragon Ball films ever made and its easy to see why its so highly regarded by fans. From start to finish it delivers exactly what a Dragon Ball movie should: nonstop action iconic characters unforgettable moments and a fusion that feels genuinely legendary. Gogeta alone elevates this movie into elite status. In my opinion he is the best fusion in the entire franchise. His design is clean powerful and confident and his aura feels completely unmatched compared to any other fusion. The way he carries himself on screen makes it instantly clear that Janemba has no chance once Gogeta appears. The English dub adds even more to Gogetas presence especially with his theme music. That theme perfectly captures his overwhelming power and calm dominance making his short screen time feel even more impactful. Every punch kick and energy blast feels heavier because of how well the sound design and music are handled. Even though Gogeta doesnt appear for very long his role is so memorable that it doesnt matter. Sometimes less screen time actually makes a character feel more legendary and Gogeta is the perfect example of that. While the plot itself is definitely on the sillier side and doesnt have much depth it honestly doesnt hurt the movie at all. Dragon Ball movies dont always need complex stories to be great. This one knows exactly what it is and doesnt waste time pretending to be something else. It jumps straight into chaos and keeps the momentum going. The idea of the barrier between the living world and the afterlife breaking down leads to some fun and unexpected moments and it gives the movie an excuse to throw powerful characters into constant combat. Vegeta showing up toward the end adds another layer of hype that cant be ignored. His presence always raises the stakes and seeing him alongside Goku once again reinforces why their rivalry and partnership are so iconic. Their fusion into Gogeta feels earned even in a short runtime because of how intense the situation becomes. Janemba is easily one of the coolest Dragon Ball villains ever created. His design is unique unsettling and memorable especially after he transforms. The fact that he doesnt say a single word in his final form somehow makes him even more intimidating. He doesnt need dialogue to be threatening his actions and sheer power speak for him. He feels like pure chaos given form which fits the movie perfectly. One of the funniest and most unexpected parts is Goten and Trunks defeating one of historys most evil figures earlier in the movie. Its classic Dragon Ball humor and shows how the series can balance absurdity with hype without taking itself too seriously. Even though the movie is only about 47 minutes long its packed almost entirely with action which works heavily in its favor. Theres no wasted time no dragging scenes and no unnecessary filler. Every minute feels purposeful and entertaining. Because of that the short runtime actually makes the movie more rewatchable. Overall this movie is a mustwatch for any Dragon Ball fan. It may not have a deep plot but it more than makes up for it with style energy and unforgettable moments. Gogeta alone is worth the price of admission. A solid 90/100 and absolutely one thats worth watching again and again.
