a perfect slice of life story that portrays a young woman discovering her self worth her passion and of course her love life. in the following paragraphs i will give a spoiler free critique of what i enjoyed : sorry for the lengthy review general: i really loved the idea of seeing her cells fighting against one another it shows us readers in a very creative way that the outcome of our emotions are sometimes showcased differently then what we want. i started reading it a few years after its release on webtoon and it has come to be one of my all time favorite stories. i think the author did an amazing job on displaying authentic relationships. we see through her love life how both individuals must prioritize finding common grounds in order to share a long lasting healthy relationship. the lessons that are taught in this comicstyled story are something that i will never forget as i myself continue my personal journey. a disclaimer i suppose for this series would be that it might be intimidating for some to read due to its rather lengthy progression around 500 chapters or so however the story itself is worth while and i find that the chapters are quick reads some exception may apply but generally speaking no. characters: the characters are all written excellently. through the stories we see all of the characters sides be it good or bad and i think that that is not something that is observed often lately. it was very refreshing to see such raw fleshed out characters that in all honesty probably mirrors some parts of ourselves through them. my favorite character is without a doubt our main protagonist yumi. by the end of the comic we see her grow into a beautiful independent woman who finally found herself bringing me to tears. she learned to become more mature and persevere through her love life and became a much wiser and openminded individual. all the supporting characters who guided yumi through her journey were written and brought to life as complex individuals with raw emotions and not empty personalities only present as mere two dimensional characters. plot: in summary yumi a young womans life is told by infiltrating her minds cells. for a fair comparison i would say it has a very similar concept to disneys inside out. through various scenarios we see normal interactions explained rather amusingly with these cells/emotions. for example hunger cell which is one of yumis dominant cells take priority over productive cell which is an experience that im sure many of us experience at least speaking for myself anyways. i dont want to spoil any of the plot but it has a very even pace where it delves into all of her intricate relationships be it careerwise or on a more personal/interpersonal level. all in all i am so grateful for having read this amazing story at the time that i did and i would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys a little laugh and an overall interesting outlook on life and its many twist and turns. p.s. thank you for reading if you made it this far lol
