About Me
She/Her 99 Blue Skys profilehttps://bsky.app/profile/sowia.bsky.social
You can PM me for my Steam and Discord username: Hey there I joined MAL in 2016 but Ive been watching anime ever since I caught Dragon Ball Z on broadcast when I was younger and became a fan of the medium. Currently Im a bit burnt out with seasonals and only sporadically watch whichever title catches my fancy. Im more into manga now.
I like creating stack lists writing reviews when inspiration strikes and I feel like I have something worth to say sharing cool/fun/silly panels/clips not that active but I do so in my bsky account and exchanging recommendations with likeminded people. Oh and I like cats a lot.
Feel free to drop a PM/profile comment if you think we share interests or just want to say hi. Sometimes im not that quick replying but I definitely do get back. I really value respectful and thoughtful interactions.
Interests
ANIME MANGA: Generally speaking I try to watch/read as many different things as possible before forming an opinion on anything. I dont discriminate against genres or themes in themselves Ive found hidden gems in the seemingly insipid catalogues of mainstream shounen and CGDCT just as Ive discovered subpar cerebral scifi and avantgarde/experimental productions. I pick stuff to read/watch in a very simple way: by reading the synopsis. If it interests me I give it a go. That said I do have a soft spot for mythology and Japanese folklore comingofage stories sliceoflifeish works and the rarely welldone horror in anime but usually great in manga. Moved on from nekketsu series despite having liked a lot of them when I was younger. I always make space for shoujo/josei series in my PTW/PTR.
Among my favorite anime directors to name a few as this list could easily get extensive are: Hayao Miyazaki simply unmatched Satoshi Kon Kunihiko Ikuhara Takahiro Oomori Mamoru Oshii Isao Takahata.
Among my favorite mangakas are: Osamu Tezuka Okazaki Kyoko Matsumoto Taiyou Moto Hagio Asumiko Nakamura Keigo Shinzou Junji Ito Usamaru Furuya.
VIDEOGAMES: I primarily engage with narrativedriven games. PointnClick walking sims visual novels RPG roguelike all types of horror videogames.
MUSIC: Im an omnivore when it comes to music I listen to everything. However I do enjoy the most classical and like jazz noise rock all the weird waves and psych/avantprog.
FILM DIRECTORS: David Lynch Nagisa Ooshima Andrei Tarkovsky Stanley Kubrick Guillermo del Toro Luis Buuel Takashi Miike Fritz Lang Suzuki Seijun Wong Karwai Alfred Hitchcock...
Rating System
I use the whole scale from 1 to 10. I give a lot of thought to what to rate titles Ive read/watched. Sometimes I change the ratings depending on how I feel later on certain titles. Although I like to form opinions by myself and rarely reviews by others sway my opinion I do like hearing what likeminded people think of titles I may not resonate with but they do and similarly hearing what they disliked of titles that did resonate with me. Helps to check on my biases and makes me reflect on my own reading analyses and habits.

Meh. Either this was not my cup of tea or it didnt
meet my expectations.
3 2
Not one single redeeming quality. From 3 to 2
the only difference is how muchI wanted to get
done with it.
