Akari Ogiwara was once a promising art prodigy, but now she's barely scraping by as an anonymous art school teacher. One day, she saves a young man from attempting suicide by the sea. She doesn't know his name or even his age, but she can tell he's an extraordinarily talented painter. He asks her, "Do you want to become rich and famous—everything you ever wished for?" Tempted by the chance to finally achieve recognition as an artist, Akari agrees to lend him the name "Akari Ogiwara" and sell his paintings as her own.
